The Blackstone Valley is rich in historic sites and we are always challenged to find a way to bring people together to share these treasures.  BVBB will be playing at Alternatives Outside Court for the Summer Concerts Series at the Whitin Mill.  This historic place is the perfect spot for a night out with the kids; have a picnic, share a blanket and listen to a smokin' hot Bluegrass Band.

Hope to see you there!!  We really pack them in as this is our Hometown Gig so bring your chairs!  Come on out to see what the buzz is about!!

BVBB is happy to return to one of our favorite venues to play.  This show will feature our smokin' HOT bluegrass so come prepared to have a sizzzling good time!!  The Bean is an excellent listening room, just south of the Massachusetts border in picturesque Pomfret.

This show is always a packed house so come early!!  As this is a benefit as well we expect a large turnout so get there early!!

 Yankee Magazine called the Bean "One of the outstanding reasons to visit New England." The food is exquisite, and they serve beer and wine! Come for dinner and stay for us.

Dog Orphans Inc. will hold its 13th Annual Walk for Paws on Sunday, May 1, 2011 beginning at 12:00 Noon at Waters Farm, 4 Uxbridge Road, in Sutton, MA. This anxiously anticipated spring event serves as a key fundraiser for the non-profit, no-kill shelter which relies on donations for its day-to-day operations.
 
Waters Farm is a beautiful venue for the many family oriented activities scheduled for the day. These include musical entertainment by the Blackstone Valley Bluegrass Band and great fun for the kids including face painting, a junior dog show and ice cream sundaes. Vendors will provide complimentary services during the walk including dog nail clippings, dog nail painting, micro chipping, agility demonstrations, canine massages and chair massages for the two-legged participants.
 
Hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage sandwiches and beverages will be sold by members of the First Holiday Night Committee in Uxbridge.

The Holy Mass has been the inspiration for some of the most beautiful music ever written. And now bluegrass as well. 
 
Carol Barnett and Marisha Chamberlain have written and recorded The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass.  The style of the music is often more classical than bluegrass, but it is orchestrated for bluegrass instruments. Blackstone Valley Bluegrass will be playing the Bluegrass Mass along with a full Choir on Sunday May 22nd at the First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury.

Announcing Freedomsong 4, the 'concert on the lawn'. For the second year, it moves outdoors to the new Veterans Inc facility at 59 South Street, Shrewsbury, MA.
 
Musical entertainment will feature Ric Porter and the Sons of the Soil, Blackstone Valley Bluegrass, Valvatross, The Scott Bronnes Band, Hip Swayers, Final Approach, and V.I.B.E. – Veterans Inc. Blues Experience. A special dance performance will also be made by the Providence College Friars Dance Troupe.

Food and Veterans Inc. merchandise sales will be onsite all day!  Activities for children to include face painting, balloons, and much more!  Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy the music while giving back to your community.

Blackstone Valley Bluegrass is thrilled to have been asked to play the Bradley Playhouse Theater.  This will be a real neat event as the Bradley Playhouse is a 110 year-old vaudeville theatre in the heart of the Putnam Antiques and Restaurant District in the "Quiet Corner" of Northeastern Connecticut. It is an amateur community theatre, operated by the members of The Theatre of Northeastern Connecticut, Inc.
